Towering over the farm of Hvesta (where my cousin Jón is the first "hydroelectric farmer" in Iceland :-) Nónhorn affords a spectacular view. Towards the north the highest peak in the Westfjords, Kaldbakur, dominates the view - to the south Snæfellsjökull peeks above the intervening mountain chains. An easy hike - well worth the effort. Since you will be parking your car parctiacally at his front door you should probably get authorization from Jón - which I am sure he'll give you.
