Heen en weer wandeling van Johannishütte naar Defreggerhaus en terug. De Johannishütte is bereikbaar met een huttentaxi, die vanuit Gasthaus Islitzer in Hinterbichl ieder uur rijdt. Het Defreggerhaus ligt tegen een rotsgraat in de Multwitzkees gletscher. De wandeling levert spectaculaire panorama's op deze gletscher en de omliggende bergen, waaronder de Großvenediger (3660m). Bij het Defreggerhaus klim je nog 10 minuten door tot aan de graat voor de mooiste uitzichten. Afstand: 7.9 km (in totaal, klim en terug) Klimmen en dalen: 950m. Walk from the Johannishütte to the Defreggerhaus and back. You can reach the Johannishütte by 'Huttentaxi' from the Gasthaus Islitzer in Hinterbichl every hour in main season. The Defreggerhaus is situated on a rug at the edge of the Multwitzkees glacier. In this walk you'll see spectacular panoramas of this glacier and the surrounding mountains, one of which is the Großvenediger (3660m) (not visible on my photos because of clouds). From the Defreggerhaus you'll climb some 10 minutes more to the rug for the most spectacular views. Distance: 7.9 km (total track) Climbing and descending 950m.
