Descripción del itinerario
Ascent to Red Pike was strenuous with a pleasent rest on a plateau with a tarn midway. The descent from High Style summit had a lot of loose shale in the track at one point therefore walking poles recommended. The route I took back on descent from Hay Stack took two hours to Gategarth Farm car park. It was a further 4.4 km along the bank of Buttermere back to my car. Gatesgarth Farm car park cost £4 per day in September 2020.
