Descripción del itinerario
Part of the Desolation Wilderness, a dirt and rocky gradual uphill climb. (Not particularly steep but constant). An out and back trail. Along the way are beautiful views of Lake Tahoe and Fallen Leaf Lake with access to small Cathedral Lake and larger Floating Island Lake with adjacent views of Mount Tallac. Semi- shaded with pine. (Constant uphill climb and elevation should be considered.) Lakes are small, inclines manageable, views beautiful, rocky terrain a bit challenging, some shade, mostly sun and small parking area. A beautiful hike.
