The route offers an exceptional panoramic experience from start to finish. However, it is challenging hike that I would only recommend to experienced hikers, preferably accompanied by a local guide.
The initial segment through village lacks a clearly defined trail due to dense vegetation and shrubs.
The ascent through the forest is particularly demanding, with no discernible path. Trail markings are sparse and often placed at considerable distances, sometimes guiding towards hazardous routes characterized by steep inclines and treacherous, slippery terrain.
Near the mountain pass, where vegetation diminishes, the trail disappears entirely. Markers in this section direct along extremely dangerous routes. This segment essentially requires climbing skills.
However, from Derza-s pass to Theth, the trail becomes clearly visible and well-marked, offering a significant contrast to earlier sections.
In conclusion, this is difficult and high-risk route that I cannot recommend for inexperienced hikers. The traverse demands advanced navigation skills and the ability to safely negotiate near-vertical sections.
