PLEASE NOTE: This hike is no longer dog friendly. The Fujeirah ranger explained to me during this visit that the smell from visiting dogs is scaring away the goats of the surrounding farmers and they are sometimes loosing them. It’s a shame really as this is a beautiful hike.
The Sulfur wadi - Dahir. we did the trail on 3rd Feb 2024. The pools were filled with water and weather was really nice.
The trail has a good parking spot at the start. Accessible by normal sedan. easy hike - with beautiful sulfur ponds at the end and beginning. Trail is well marked across and bas been recently upgraded. Walking through Wadi most parts, heat is not yet an issue if started early. Always ensure adequate water with each person (3l minimum) and lots of snacks.
Overall one of my favorite hikes. Fun and kid friendly. Just be careful as sometimes there are snakes around.
