Starting point in the parking of Dolomittenhütte, in Tristach (8 Eu for cars).
In 5 minutes you reach the Dolomittenhütte, which deserves a photo because of its potition at the edge of a precipice. Now we chosed to climb through the steep path straight to the Karlsbader Hütte, but there is a softer trail for bikes and vehicles which goes up in zig-zags. Both ways are rocky.
For the return we chosed the trail as it is softer.
This routed is frequented by families, climbers, cyclists, young and not so young people that one will meet during the way.
Sightseeings from both huts are amazing.
