Grünental-Rurtalweg-Perdsley-Grünental 4.4 km

Short, but nice hike from Grünental, largely easy, but with a strenuous climb, after passing the Rur bridge. The hike offers the wild Rur river, forest, a viewpoint in the hills, and pasture. There is a restaurant shortly after the start in a timber-framed house. At the start is free parking.
From the parking you cross the road, follow it west, and then take the minor road Grünental towards the restaurant. At the restaurant you take the cycling path through the valley. On this stretch the view of the river is a bit obstructed by bushes, until you get to a bend in the river where the views open up. You continue on the Rurtalweg along the river following a few bends until you get to the pedestrian bridge across the Rur. Directly after the bridge you cross a smaller bridge across the Kluckbach stream. A steep path then rises up out of the valley past a few rocks until you get to a forest path that continues to climb to Perdsley, a viewpoint on rocks with a limited view of the valley and the forest. You continue on a forest road east through forest till you get to a large clearing with pasture called Flachsau. At the Heidheckweg you take a paved road downhill and then take a trail slightly downwards to the river passing on the opposite side of the Grünental restaurant. The trail ends at the bridge taking you back across the river to the parking at the start.
