Descripción del itinerario

This spectacular route joins the historic town of Holt and the coastal town of Sheringham and passes through heath land, forest and the beautiful village of Weybourne. It then follows the Norfolk Coastal Path along clifftops into Sheringham.

Although the route is linear, there are regular buses back from Sheringham to Holt run by Saunders (http://www.sanderscoaches.com/timetables) or, as a treat, you can catch the steam train on the North Norfolk Railway back to the start.

The route begins at the bus stop opposite the War Memorial in Holt. From here, walk along Cromer Road for about a mile past the 16th century Gresham's School. When Cromer Road meets the A148 continue along the pavement for a couple of hundred meters, past the post office and village stores, until you get to Bridge Road (signposted to the rugby pitch). Turn left onto Bridge Road and then shortly after right onto Warren Road. Warren Road starts as a gravel road, then becomes a farm track and finally becomes a footpath. Just before you arrive to Kelling Heath Campsite there is a footpath that goes off to the left. Take this path for a few of hundred meters until you come to the old Kelling Heath Halt. Do NOT cross the railway track but turn right and walk through Kelling Heath Park (always staying as close to the train track as possible). You will hopefully see a steam train pass.

When you get to Weybourne Station, turn left and walk through the village until you get to the church (on the A149). Turn left and then shortly after right, following signs to the Norfolk Coastal Path. When you get to the sea, turn right and follow the cliff path into Sheringham, past the golf course and the Coast Watch station.
