Descripción del itinerario

This route is a one way to Mount Steamer in Emu Vale in the Scenic Rim Region. The start point is Brett Rd at Carneys Creek which is accessible by a standard car as it is off Head Road / Spring Creek Road (both bitumen). The track is well marked and you can follow the pink ribbon for most of the way. I could not find the summit of Mount Superbus and didn't waste a lot of time looking for it.

I have included the Lizard Point camp site. The Mount Steamer camp site is approximately 300m from the Mount Steamer lookout where all of the great photos come from.

Hi Kevin! Looks like a great hike. I see your total time was around 9 hours. Was that how long it took to the steamers and back? But confused as it does say it's only one way. Thanks!

Hi there. This hike was day 1 of an overnight hike to Steamers where I saw the sunset and sunrise. My moving time of 3.5 hours was with a 20kg pack. I took regular breaks to enjoy the day and take plenty of photos. I tried to find the summit of Mt Superbus but could not find it.
