Great walk for acclimation. Did it on the 2nd day of arriving to Huaraz and had no major problems in completing it.
Take plenty of water to help with headaches and sunscreen.
Get a taxi from Huaraz to Pitec (where the trail begins)for roughly 10-20 sol/person.
The walk is straightforward and easy to follow. Couple of spots climbing up the rocks, but there are chains installed to help. Nothing too strenuous.
Great views of the laguna and a mountain peak from the top! Highly recommended walk.
