Descripción del itinerario
🇸🇮🌿Summer 2025 Slovenia trekking adventure
Day 2: Golica peak and Lake Bled
Morning: Ascent to Golica peak and the border ridge
Our trek began at Planina Golica (1,250 m), a scenic alpine pasture that marks the start of our climb toward Vrh Golice (1,836 m). After passing Slap Bašar, a beautiful forest waterfall, we reached the point where the trail branches upward toward Golica Peak, right along the edge of the Slovenian-Austrian border. From the summit of Golica, the views are spectacular. To the north, the Karawanks stretch toward Austria, and beyond, we could spot the Drava River and Wörthersee, a stunning lake in Carinthia. Looking south, the Julian Alps unfold, with Triglav rising prominently in the distance. Walking along the ridge, we followed the historic frontier markers, small stone posts that once defined the border, adding a sense of history to the panoramic scenery.Along the trail, alpine meadows were full of wildflowers and aromatic plants, and we even came across delicious wild raspberries, a sweet reward along the climb.
