Le point de départ est l'entrée de la réserve de Cèdres de Tannourine.
Le parcours proposé est une boucle, que j'ai faite ds le sens des aiguilles d'une montre. Vs pouvez le faire ds l'autre sens aussi (commencer par la réserve).
Le parcours sort de la réserve et emprunte la route Tann- Hadath sur qq cetaines de mètres, ensuite on emprunte une route agricole qui mène ds la vallée de Nahr el Jowz. On suit une petite route qui devient bientôt un sentier, loin de tout.
Juste avant d'atteindre la seconde vallée (nab3 l fawwar) il y a un passage difficile de 10- 15 mètres où le sentier est glissant et envahi de buissons -lezzén- . On peut le contourner par le bas.
Le sentier remonte ensuite à l'intérieur de la réserve -circuit 1- par une montée assez raide mais très belle, car souvent à l'ombre des cèdres.
Une très belle promenade, pour découvrir des sentiers peu connus de Tannourine.
The starting point is the entrance of Tannourine Cedar Reserve.
The proposed hike is a loop, that I walked clockwise, but you could walk it the other way round (i.e. start by entering the reserve).
The path gets you out of the reserve, on the road between Tannourine & Hadath el jebbe for a few hundred meters. Then you take a winding dirt road downhill to the Nahr el Jowz valley. Then you follow a nice narrow road which becomes a footpath, away from houses.
Just before reaching the second valley (nab3 l fawwar), there is a difficult passage of 10 to 15 metres where the path gets slippery and almost completely blocked by thorny bushes -lezzén- . You can either walk carefully through it, or walk round it on a path closer to the bottom of the valley.
The path then follows the 2nd valley up to a point where you start walking inside the reserve, abruptly up circuit Number 1. It is tough but pleasant because you can rest at the shadow of beautiful cedar trees.
A very enjoyable hike, to discover little-known paths in Tannourine.

I really liked this trail, this year, i believe the LMT organizers cleaned this section, therefore the trail was very clear and easy to follow.
