Descripción del itinerario
Been on my hit list for a while..long hike over two days with tent and pack .
First day the weather was not good to me..expecting sun and high cloud and i got low cloud and heavy mist.
so not many photos on the out leg of trip.
There are a couple of wrong moves on he trail..both in mist and missed trail.
The section after Sommet L,ouderou there is a section with lots of mud proper cow tracks .
At base of Thebe parking by the cemetery..road walk into Cazarilh.take behind church ..then a right on dirt track..at the end take a left ..stay on this until the way mark shown and over stream steep climb and reach forest track. A few kms of flat walking and reach concrete barrier where take left to reach base of Hourmigue .
Then up and around L,ourderou..descend down ..no track visible to bottom left.here comes the mud..then a bit vague through ferns and straight across small grassy area(not to the right)..out of woods and you can follow a worn track until Montagne lege.
In normal weather the track and the crest of the peaks ahead are clear to follow..
Stay on track ..When leaving a small wooded area,i stayed high and traversed on goat tracks to reach base of Sommet de conquers on the return i dropped down and followed the farmers track, Reach sommet d ,Antenac and descend on good tracks all the way to Cazarilh laspenes through the village and follow sign posted trail for luchon..i took a right which led me down to the main road and returned shorter route past the cemetery.
Made tent below cazaril before returning in morning.
